Hungarian food losing ground
Zoltán Fórián, head of division, Agrár-Európa Kft., pointed out that there is confusion in the press regarding the expected increase in demand and the extent of price rises. According to the latest OECD/FAO forecast, only less drastic price rises are expected in the next 5-7 years. As a result of increasing production costs, the market share of Hungarian food is shrinking.
