Air freight traffic slightly increased in 2018
To a lesser extent than in the previous year, air traffic increased by only 3.5 percent in 2018, according to the data of the International Air Transport Association (IATA).
According to the announcement of the Montreal-based International Air Transport Association sent to MTI on Thursday an increase of 9.7 percent was measured in terms of tonne-kilometer traffic in 2017, so the 2018 expansion rate is a significant drop. The sector has been adversely affected by the fact that airlines have increased their capacity by 5.4 percent, which put pressure on profitability and machinery, and added. (MTI)
