An attempt to waste less food

With food losses in developing countries and food waste in the developed world, where the average E.U. citizen wastes 179 kilos (393 pounds) of food a year, Juul declares food waste a “global tragedy.” The amount wasted globally is 3 times what’s needed to feed every starving person in the world.

But what can we do about it? Juul says that, although solving the world’s environmental problems seems overwhelming, we can all do something simple to contribute to a better future.
