Small store formats: Aldi Local and Lidl Express

Aldi appeared in London with a new store format: Aldi Local is located in Balham and its size is half of a normal Aldi store, and it sells about 1,500 SKUs. It doesn’t sell bulkier items and there are no promotions. Lidl opened a small-format Lidl Express store in Arlington (USA), where mainly fresh and convenience products are sold.
