Small shops with a large share in sales
Beer is one of the top sellers in 200m² and smaller shops: 38 percent of beer’s total value sales were realised in this channel in December 2015-March 2016. The 51-200m² channel was responsible for 20 percent of beer sales and shops smaller than this had an 18-percent share. In this period 88 percent of the beer we purchased were manufacturer brands – previously this proportion had been 90 percent.
