The growing consumption of wine has reached 3 billion crates per year, while the annual production is only 2.8 million crates. The study found out, that there was no such shortage of wine on the wine market for four decades. The global wine production declines since 2004. A decade ago, the supply exceeded the demand with 600 million crates. (Braunmüller Lajos, Világgazdaság Online)
