Hungary’s most famous bear is 90 years old

Medve cheese – the popular product with the classic bear image on the round box packaging – was first made in Hungary in 1930. Pannontej Rt., which is now called & Dairy Hungary Zrt., is making Medve cheese at the same place, Répcelak, as 90 years ago. In March the product could be found on store shelves in the iconic old packaging as a limited edition series.
