Russian traders circumvent the ban on the import of European vegetables
Despite the import ban, due to the diarrhea outbreak, one can find European vegetables on the Russian market – states the Monday issues of the Vedomosztyi newspaper
“As expected, the European vegetables were re-packages and sold as non-European” – wrote the newspaper.
The European import can be found on the price lists of a number of wholesale companies, retail chains. In the shops, the asparagus became Peruvian , the cherry tomato Turkish, while prices remained unchanged – reports MTI.
