This year’s winner of the Blue Planet Climate Foundation’s .wave program has been announced
The winner of this year’s .wave program of the Blue Planet Climate Protection Foundation, announced for the fourth time for startups focusing on sustainability, has been announced. This year, the Fishee team, which developed the “smart bite indicator”, took home the 10,000 euro main prize offered by MBH Bank, informed MTI by MBH Bank, the program sponsor.
According to the information, the climate protection foundation’s .wave acceleration program has been supporting innovative startups whose solutions significantly contribute to achieving environmental and sustainability goals since 2022.
Nine companies are participating in the program, which will receive professional mentoring for 3+6 months.
According to the description, at the public presentation (Demo Day) that concluded the intensive training phase of the first three months, the solar-powered bite indicator developed by the Fishee team consisting of Tamás Váradi and Ákos Morvai was awarded first place. The device, connected to a phone app and equipped with sensors, logs the catches – they wrote.
The “Best Performer” award for outstanding performance during the program went to the Green Assistance team, which developed a solution for recharging batteries with sustainable energy on the go.
