Reál deals with its most prestigious stores highlightedly
Last year brought serious challenges for food retailers but Reál managed to keep its customers and to maintain sales. Reál opened several large floor space stores last year and modernised several existing ones (e.g. in Békéscsaba and Gyula). Training programmes were organised for employees and another programme was launched to develop highlighted stores under the name Reál Prémium. These stores represent premium quality in both their appearance and services. Reál continued to support primary schools, donating HUF 15 million for the excursions of 1,900 classes all over Hungary. Last year Reál also took steps to start a drugstore chain, which is planned to be operational this year.
