In Hungary, tap water is of high quality and continues to be the most strictly controlled food – the Hungarian Water Utilities Association told MTI on Monday.

According to the statement, it does indeed happen that technological problems arise in a settlement from time to time in connection with drinking water supply, however, service providers continuously monitor the water fed into the network 24 hours a day and are therefore able to respond quickly and promptly to any problems that may arise.

They drew attention to the fact that it is a fact supported and confirmed by measurements that the drinking water supplied in Hungary complies with European Union regulations and laws.

They added that more than 20,000 people in the water utility sector are constantly working to ensure that high-quality tap water supply and professional wastewater disposal and treatment are provided everywhere.
