We get upset if there are spelling mistakes on a webshop
It is more important for us to judge a webshop whether it has spelling mistakes than whether the return and refund option is clearly indicated – the data of Shoptet’s representative survey* show. Four out of ten Hungarians do not buy from a site where they cannot pay cash on delivery. 71% of our compatriots would order from an online store that does not have available Terms and Conditions and GDPR regulations, and only 15% are so aware that they do not order if the site does not have a secure communication certificate.
Central Europe’s market-leading online store operating system, Shoptet, searched for the answer in its representative research as to why we vote trust in an unknown webshop, and what discourages us from ordering from an online store.
For 68% of the respondents, it is important that the structure of the webshop is logical, because then they assume that the product that can be purchased through it will also be of high quality. 39% appreciate it if there is a personal story on the page, because this way you can better relate to the product and see who you are supporting with your purchase. A quarter of our compatriots (24%) are more likely to order from a site where they can find many positive and authentic product reviews. A beautiful website is important to only one in ten (11%) Hungarians.
