K&H: Subdued revenues and profit growth is expected by the SMEs this year
On average, 5.5 percent and 3.2 percent profit growth in revenues is expected by the small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) this year – according to the latest data of the K&H SME confidence index released on Wednesday.
The companies’ expectations somewhat subdued compared to the previous quarter, when 6.9 percent sales growth was reported for 2016.
Kovács Viktor Zoltán, head of the K&H SME marketing department told that the 1.4 percentage point slowdown is significant, but only an optimistic sentiment was dropped to a more realistic level. The expectations still surpass the Central Bank’s 2.4 percent forecast for this year inflation expectations – he added.
