K&H: the savings opportunities of young people are decreasing
Young people are less and less able to put money aside: in the first quarter of this year, barely 50 percent of them had a reserve, compared to the 56-60 percent rate characteristic of the previous quarters – according to the survey of the financial situation of 19-29-year-olds prepared for the K&H youth index. Four out of ten young people with savings only have enough reserves for one month. K&H Be careful, ready, money! his contest helps to ensure that students who are approaching adulthood are also aware of the importance of savings.
One of the lessons learned from the research is that students who are already attending school should learn the importance of saving at an early age. A situation may arise at any time when they are suddenly faced with a larger expense. The approaching Easter holiday is a good opportunity to save money, since in many families, young people can receive money from family members at this time. In addition, the end of the academic year is approaching, it is worth planning the student work and the fate of the income from it. The money saved can be used to finance a smartphone, a notebook, or possibly a vacation or festival ticket. K&H Be careful, ready, money! the curriculum prepared for a financial competition organized for students, as well as the tasks of the competition, give priority to the topic of savings. Thanks to this, participating students can manage their everyday finances and savings in a prepared manner.
