Only a few farmers have have checked in for the temporary support
The European Commission opened extraordinary and temporary support measures to the producers of some kind of fruits and vegetables with a budget of 125 million euros in order to help those farmers who were badly affected by the Russian import restrictions.
Hungary has already indicated during the negotiation of the proposed action, that a higher allocation would be appropriate – the Agricultural and Rural Development Agency told in its communication.On 5 September, the European Commission informed the Member States that many objectionable prior requests were received, that contained errors, resulting from inadequate interpretation and also called on the Member States to take corrective actions.
