The advertising spendings of the top 100 advertisers decreased by 10 billion USD
According to the compilation of Advertising Age; the top 100 advertisers last year spent 10 billion USD less on advertising than in 2008. The Procter & Gamble is still in the first place with 8.68 billion USD spent on advertising worldwide.
Only a few changes occurred among the ten largest advertisers, compared to the previous year: L'Oreal and Unilever maintained their position on the second and third place. Just only one rookie appeared in the elite, Kraft Foods, which gained the 10th place with its 2.12 billion USD advertising budget. Nestle also improved much. While in 2008 Nestlé was only the tenth largest advertiser, last year the company reached the fifth position – reports mmonline.hu.
