Fewer people buying larger quantity of softeners
According to ConsumerScan data by GfK Hungária, the number of households buying softeners in the first nine months of 2008 was down slightly compared to the preceding year, but the average quantity purchased was up. The market share of private labels and sensitive products remained stable. Sales have also remained stable both in terms of quantity and value. Sales in hyper markets and supermarkets were up, while sales dropped in discounts and the cash&carry channel.
