Fewer grapes grew in Pannonhalma
Half of the predicted quantity was harvested in the region of Pannonhalma – said Liptai Zsolt, manager of the abbey’s winery.
The new wine quality is good but not outstanding. The big question now is how they can keep their foreign and domestic markets with smaller quantity, compared to the previous years. In the estates of the abbey last year such grapes harvested that was enough for a quarter of a million bottles of wine. One fifth of the wine marketed abroad – reports Magyar Nemzet Online, after MTI.
