Less spendings, more bank card usage
We spent less this year for Christmas, but used more our bank cards. The Christmas of 2009 is more modest than in the previous years – but we still spend more to our loved ones than on holidays – shows the analysis of Budapest Bank.
The number of credit card purchase transactions in 2009 were slowly but steadily increased. (in the past 2 years, with 9 percent of credit cards per people, in relation to debit cards per people, with 4.5 per cent). This is due to the growing number of POS terminals in the shops and the fact, that after the payment, card customers do not have to pay further, after the transaction – reports Világgazdaság Online.
