Less selling places and significant price increase are waiting for the smokers
Nearly 35 thousand tobacco outlets can disappear in Hungary next year, while smokers can buy cigarettes in the remaining four to five thousand tobacco shops on higher prices.
The average price of a pack of cigarettes next year will be between 850-950 HUF, while the proportion of black markets may increase.
The bill would allow 1 tobacco store per 2000 citizens, while according to the tobbacco companies this number should be 1100 to 1200. This would mean about 10 thousand stores nationwide. (JM, Index)
