The volume of imported eggs decreased in stores
The decline in imports was explained by the war in Ukraine, as the EU market is largely produced by settlements located in the vicinity of Kharkov and Mariupol, ie in the area of military operations. Ukraine previously accounted for more than 23 percent of EU imports. The EU is self-sufficient in eggs anyway, so the decline in imports does not cause a shortage, it has only eliminated the oversupply, the interest group explained. (MTI)
