We drink a lot of beer from little money
In recent years, the growth of beer consumption has slowed. Although the Czechs consumes the most beer on an annual basis, Ireland's population still spends far more for this purpose. Hungarian are also in a good place (17th) in beer consumption, despite the fact that we relatively spend small amounts on beer.
After the crisis, the global beer market’s growth slowed down: while in the years before the crisis, the market expanded by 5 to 6 percent annually, beer production increased by only 1 percent last year. As in recent years, significant consolidation occurred in the beer market, the five biggest manufacturers give more than 50 percent of the market last year. (portfolio.hu)
