Internet banking not very popular among Hungarians
According to an international, online survey conducted by Nielsen, Hungarian Internet users rarely use the net for banking transactions and use ATM machines less frequently than the international average. Only 48 per cent of Hungarian Internet users carry out banking transactions through the net at least once a month. The only countries in Europe where this percentage is even lower are Greece and Russia. However, two-thirds of people who do not use Internet banking services at the moment, believe that they will begin to do so in the future. Hungarians are generally loyal to their bank, with 48 per cent who feel very loyal and another 33 per cent who regard the relationship with their bank as very positive.
