Twice as many organic products in Cora
The number of organic products has doubled in the Törökbálint Cora store since 2007, to almost 500. Bio vegetables fruits are the most popular products, but customers are also beginning to look for bio-milk and bakery products. – Bio-products are a priority project for us – says Péter Berek, marketing and communications manager. – We begun focusing on these six months ago, when we started building up a bio-universe, with a logo of its own. They encounter the biggest difficulties in purchasing fresh products, like fruits and vegetables. Customers are also often uncertain about what qualifies as “bio” and what is simply healthy. W have been told that Cora’s motive for attending the Eco-tour was to meet organic producers, as Cora is concerned about sustainable growth. Their opinion is that organic production is still in an embryonic form in Hungary and supplies are insufficient.
