Two-digit growth in hotels in the first quarter
The hotels in Hungary reached a 2-digit growth in the first quarter: the total gross hotel turnover of the hotels increased by 10.7 percent and gross room revenues increased by 11.6 percent, compared to last year – according to the latest analysis of Hungarian Hotel and Restaurant Association (MSZÉSZ).
According to the analysis sent to MTI, the hotels’ gross room revenues increased to 38.3 billion HUF. The total gross turnover of the hotels increased to 69.8 billion HUF. In the Balaton region, the total turnover of hotels increased by 8.5 percent, and the room price exceeded the base by 12.1 percent. (MTI)
