Last year, Tourinform offices received two million inquiries
Last year, Tourinform offices received two million inquiries, the tourist information offices operating under the professional coordination of the Hungarian Tourist Agency (MTÜ) provide 30 types of services with 244 employees in 94 offices throughout the country, the agency told MTI.
According to MTÜ, the number of inquiries has decreased significantly due to the coronavirus epidemic. In 2021, it was only slightly more than one million, but in 2022 it already exceeded the 1.956 million in 2019 before the epidemic. Last year’s performance is also significant because the number of offices was 109 in 2019 and 95 last year.
In the past year, almost a third of the offices achieved a rating of over 90 percent in MTÜ’s performance evaluation system, thanks to regular training, the agency highlighted.
