Russia’s Ministry of Agriculture forecasts a 95-million ton cereal yield for 2013 and estimates to have a 33-million hectare area for spring-planted crops. Hungary’s Ministry of Rural Development informed that autumn wheat was planted on 1.1 million hectares and 67 percent of the plants are in good condition. Pig farming: according to KSH, on 1 December 2012 there were 2,956 million pigs registered in Hungary, 2.3 percent less than a year earlier but 1.5 percent more than on 1 June 2012.
