Raw milk’s price up by two-thirds in a year
According to AKI PÁIR, the national average producer price of raw milk in Hungary was HUF 181.71 per kilogram in August 2022
In addition to the improvement in the protein content by 0.03 percentage points and stagnation in the fat content, and a 5% increase in the base price, the average price of raw milk increased by 6% in August 2022 compared to the previous month, and exceeded the average price recorded in August 2021 by 57%.
The export price of raw milk reached HUF 210.13 per kilogram that is 6% higher than that in the previous month and 83% higher than in August 2021. The export price exceeded the average producer price by 16%. AKI PÁIR data show that the export of raw milk dropped by 39% in August 2022 from the level in August 2021. //
