The confidence of French consumers dropped to two and a half years nadir
Instead of the expected stagnation, the consumer confidence index in France has risen to the lowest level in September for more than two years, according to the National Statistical Office.
Insee’s consumer confidence index in September reached 94 points, which is the lowest since April 2016, after the 96 points of August. The August data was corrected by Insee from 97 to 96 points on Wednesday. The index stood at 104 points in January. (MTI)
