METRO also received two Business Superbrands awards
This year, METRO Nagykereksemed also performed excellently before the committee awarding the Business Superbrands trademark, and in 2024, METRO Hungary’s knowledge center, the METRO Gastronomy Academy, also won the prestigious title!
The Business Superbrands 2024 title has been awarded by a 20-member committee of independent professionals to deserving companies and brands for the 17th year now. While Superbrands are the trademarks of the most successful consumer brands, the Business Superbrands program highlights the excellence of brands in the business sector (B2B). The partners and key target groups of METRO Nagykereskelim and METRO Gastro Academy are both actors of the HoReCa sector and independent businesses, and in recognition of the work done with and for partners, they have been awarded the Business Superbrands title.
METRO Wholesale has been on the path of increasing efficiency for the past two years: in the second half of 2021, the strategy of becoming a multi-channel wholesale was launched at the international level in the company group, which means a model change affecting all levels and increasing efficiency in the company’s processes. From 2022, the physical transformation of 13 domestic METRO stores began in the name of better service for professional customers, and by the first half of 2024, 11 transformed, highly efficient stores were handed over to customers. The transformations are accompanied by modernization investments and the changes necessary for the green transition, as well as extensive digitization.
