She explained that the shoot area of greenhouse tomatoes in Hungary decreased to about 350 hectares, but the yield increased significantly. Anikó Juhász emphasized that the most modern technology is already used on about 120 hectares of this area. He also noted that consumer needs have changed over the last ten years, with specialties such as clustered cherry tomatoes and plum tomatoes becoming more popular. (MTI)
