Hungarians will spend 1,200 billion HUF this year on Christmas in December, which is a record – Vámos György, general secretary of the National Trade Association told M1 news channel on Sunday.
Webshops are expected to record more than 80 billion HUF, with 40 percent growth in sales over the past month and 30 to 40 percent growth in online spending over the years, he said. In the webshops people mainly buy technical articles and clothes. He mentioned that an average family is expected to spend 25-30,000 HUF on gifts, and in recent years, consumers have become more conscious of spending.
