Blue planet: processing food waste is particularly important
Let’s not sink into climate depression, but let’s talk about sustainability and environmental protection problems and find solutions to them; this is the purpose of the Kék Bolygó podcast – said former head of state János Áder about the podcast he started, which is also available on the most popular video sharing portal. The chairman of the board of trustees of the Kék Bolygó Climate Protection Foundation (KBKA) spoke about this in connection with the show’s hundredth broadcast. In the unusual broadcast, András Huszár, co-founder and director of the Green Policy Center, asked János Áder.
The former head of state explained that by launching the podcast in October 2020, his goal was to be able to address the questions of sustainability and the answers to as many people as possible, especially young people. They are very interested in the topic and the podcast is suitable for reaching this age group as well, he said.
Several aspects are taken into account when compiling the themes of each broadcast, including the various world days and holidays related to sustainability, as well as current topics that are regularly discussed – János Áder explained the details. He pointed out that the invited experts dealt with, for example, battery production several times. He recalled that the program reviewed the most efficient and modern production technologies that are also used in Hungary. In this regard, János Áder highlighted the environmental protection regulations, which Hungary tightened again from January 1, and the new regulations were prepared based on German solutions.
