Higher yields are expected in Zala County this year
More favorable yields are expected in Zala County this year. According to the estimates of crop yields more wheat, barley and triticale will be produced than last year – the county president of the National Agricultural Chamber (NAK) told MTI on Thursday.
Harvesting of autumn barley has already been completed on 5525 hectares. The average yield per hectare became 5.8 tons, 0.8 tons more than last year Süle Katalin said.
15 percent of the autumn wheat produced on 26,611 hectares was harvested, with an average yield of 5.53 tonnes. The average yield per hectare is estimated to reach 5.9 tonnes, while last year, an average of 5.1 tonnes per hectare was harvested.
