According to the datas of the Austrian RegioData research company; Compared to the peak of 2007, the number of mall-building projects in the Southeast, and Eastern European region may decrease to its one-tenth this year.
In the inspected 25 countries, a total of 268 shopping centers had been built in the peak year of the investment fever. A year later in 2008 214, in 2009 168 shopping malls were built. This year only 26 projects will be completed.
