Favorite classics and sous vide specialties are also grilled on Tesco’s grill
Tesco officially launched the barbecue season, and presented its latest summer selection at a light BBQ event, served by notafunnychef Barnabás Tóth. The selection of 97 different grilled products also includes special novelties such as sous vide lamb shanks, wild boar loin or shrimp with pesto, but lovers of traditional flavors as well as vegetarians and vegans will also find bites to their taste in the range. All the tools needed to make them are also available in the store.
Last year’s hit grill products included the own-brand berner, Hungarian grilled chicken sausage, chicken breast fillet with honey and mustard, Mediterranean pork chops, and grilled cheese in two flavors. In this year’s renewed offer of the department store chain, both traditional and unique flavors play a role, in the discount, price guarantee and Clubcard price range, everyone can find the products that best suit their taste and wallet.
Classic with a twist or gourmet? The choice is free!
In 2023, Tesco sold a total of more than 1,700,000 barbecue products. The wide selection has expanded even further this year and includes many products that are only available in Tesco stores.
“We prepared for the grilling season with many new products, mainly on the Asian line. BBQ steaks and sea fish and seafood are available as well as handmade grilled sausages or specially flavored chops, ribs, chicken and meat patties. We try to meet all needs, so we also offer grill products that are healthy and meat-free, or suitable for a vegan diet, so that all members of the family or group of friends can enjoy the summer BBQ flavors together. And with the help of a popular chef, Barnabás Tóth (notafunnychef), we prepared some of them on the grill terrace of our office to give a tasting of them as part of a season-opening event.”
– said Eszter Varga, external communications manager of Tesco Hungary.
