Coffee and Co. Ltd.
It was not by accident that Starbucks dropped the word ‘coffee’ from its logo – the company’s new president-CEO Howard Schultz told Der Spiegel in a recent interview. Starbucks’ plan is to create 70,000 new jobs in the next 6-12 months. The company’s turnover grew by 9 percent to an annual USD 11 billion. Mr Schultz told that the Starbucks’ problem a couple of years ago was that they concentrated on rapid service instead of communicating with customers. He believes that Starbucks has great room for development, for instance in the field of food retail. He promised to put new products and product categories – both food and beverages – on the market in the next 12-18 months.
