MPM Research Kft.’s Kavali vegetable and fruit processing plant with water extraction technology was handed over on Thursday in Mórahalom.

The food industry is an “incredibly innovative sector”
The Kavali project was realized with almost HUF 850 million, for which the company won a HUF 423.6 million grant from the European Agricultural Rural Development Fund.
In the production plant, they work with a gentle, low-temperature vacuum drying technology that preserves the intrinsic value and aroma of the fruit and vegetables – representatives of the company informed MTI.
With the help of microwave vacuum drying, products with different crunchy textures are typically made from fruits and vegetables, which can be sold as raw materials to other food manufacturers, they explained.
Olga Beáta Felkai, the Deputy Secretary of State responsible for food chain supervision of the Ministry of Agriculture, stated at the opening that the food industry is an “incredibly innovative sector”, which is supported by the investment. The deputy state secretary called the special water abstraction technique exemplary.
