Sainsbury’s introduces cardboard laundry detergent packaging
Sainsbury’s is the first supermarket in the United Kingdom to roll out private label liquid laundry detergent in cardboard box packaging, saving 22 tonnes of plastic annually. Sainsbury’s new cardboard design seeks to help customers reduce plastic at home, and will be used for all 750ml private label laundry detergents. The new packaging is 35% lighter, can easily be recycled and reduces the carbon emissions of the range by 50%.
