Cartel suspect – Metro is under investigation

The German Cartel Office put under investigation several trade and production chains, because of the suspicion, that they coordinate their prices. The Metro is one of the companies, that are under investigation – the company confirmed.

The Cartel Office focuses on sweets, coffee and pet food distributor companies and producing companies. So far 15 companies are under investigation, but the investigation may be extended to others later.
Metro’s spokesman said that the company will cooperate in everything with the authorities.
The Cartel Office did not publish the list of the companies involved, but the Rewe also confirmed the existence of the investigation – reports Privatbankar.hu.
