Diageo to open carbon neutral brewery in Ireland
Diageo will invest EUR 200m in Ireland’s first carbon-neutral brewery on a greenfield site in county Kildare. When fully operational with a capacity of 2 million hectolitres, it will be the second largest beer production facility in Ireland behind St. James’s Gate. The new brewery will use 100% renewable energy and state-of-the-art technology to minimise energy and water consumption.
