We draw the wine bottle during Christmas
Hungarians drink one fifth more during Christmas. Before Christmas the Hungarian wine and champagne market booms. An average 20 percent of more wine sold by the shops, compared to an average month.
However, more than half of the champagne stocks are sold in December. Because of the crisis, Hungarians rather drink at home. This year at the host units 20 percent less wine was consumed this year, than last year – said Varga Bálint leader of Varga winery, that produces an annual 10 million bottles of wine – reports Privatbankar.hu.
