Major Christmas operation in the fish plant in Hortobágy

Major Christmas operation has started in the plant of the Hortobágyi Halgazdaság Zrt.; ten tons of fish is processed every day – the CEO of the nation's largest fish farm told MTI.

Simon Károly said that three weeks before the Christmas holidays as many fish will be sold as in the previous half year.

This year a total of 1500 tonnes of fish will be sold. The company expects a 1 billion HUF turnover – he added.

According to information of Simon Károly 80 percent of the fish is sold in the domestic market and the rest is exported to Romania and Poland. (MTI)
