According to the European Commission, the European Union sold 35 percent more pork (1.3 million tons) in the international markets in 2016 in the first four months, compared to a year before.
More than 60 percent of the exports was directed to China, Hong Kong and Japan. Compared to the previous year, a 96 percent increase in exports occured to China, 23 percent increase to Japan, while to Hong Kong 46 percent more pork was sold. (by our colleague)
