Significant demand for Hungarian Mangalica in Japan
The double of the annual 300 tonnes of the Mangalica meat quantity could be sold in Japan – said Tóth Péter, president of the Hungarian National Mangalica Breeders Association, to MTI who has just returned from an international food exhibition, from Tokyo
Tóth Péter added: The Japanese recognizes the results of the Hungarian mangalica breeders and also like the Hungarian mangalica meat as well. Thus, in his opinion, exports can be significantly increased in two or three years. In his view, only the Hungarian mangalica breeding capacity would impose limits. Tóth Péter believes: that the Hungarian mangalica meat processors can satisfy the demand in the foreseeable future.
Tóth Péter noted: Between 3rd and 5th of April, a mangalica festival will be held in Debrecen.
