Campaign to encourage sour cherry consumption
Hungary is a great power in the production of sour cherries, but the consumption of the extremely healthy fruit is low.
The Ministry of Agriculture (AM) and the Agricultural Marketing Center (AMC) launched a campaign promoting sour cherry consumption.
Currently, more than 3400 Hungarian producers grow cherries on 14,000 hectares, producing an average of 70,000 tons of fruits per year – Feldman Zsolt, Minister of State of the Ministry of Agriculture said at a campaign event at the Balaton Sound in Zamárdi. (MTI)
