Retail sales growth in the Czech Republic accelerated in June
In June, retail sales growth in the Czech Republic accelerated to 4.6 percent from the 2.7 percent of May – the Czech Bureau of Statistics announced in Prague on Wednesday.
In the pre-summer holiday period, Czechs mainly bought clothing and footwear. The sales of clothing increased by 7.7 percent and footwear by 17.4 percent. Summer sports-related products performed very well, with a 9.9 percent increase in sales. (Kokes János, MTI)
