Sheep and beef cattle breeding support program was launched
Ruminant restructuring program was launched. The new scheme is expected to affect 12 thousand farmers – mainly sheep and beef cattle breeders – who can claim for a total of 44.5 million euros, more than 13 billion HUF per year.
The program was launched by Fazekas Sándor, Rural Development Minister and Czerván György Secretary of State responsible for agri-management in Vecsés on Monday.
The Ministry of Rural Development considers the expansion of livestock production as a high priority – said Fazekas Sándor at the program’s press conference.
With the Ruminant restructuring program, the ministry wants to replace the top-up programs, that will be terminated in 2013. The grants are expected to be claimed by 12 thousand farmers. (MTI)
