Earnings growth will increase further next year

Wages might rise next year
According to a report released by the Central Statistical Office (KSH) on Tuesday, average gross and net earnings in September were 9.1 percent higher than a year earlier. Growth continued to pick up after 8.9 percent in August. With inflation at 5.5 percent, real earnings were 3.4 per cent higher than a year ago, compared with an annual rise of 3.8 percent in August. Earnings grew by 8.0 percent among businesses and 9.4 percent in the budget. (MTI)
