The poultry industry is working without income

Turkey processing stopped in the Pacsa-based processing plant of the Zalai Baromfifeldolgozó Kft.. Soon similar bad poultry market news will arrive from the eastern regions of the country – the Poultry Product Council (BTT) announced at its Tuesday press conference.

According to Csorbai Attila president, if the poultry industry will not be given help similar to the pig sector, then a wave of bankruptcies will sweep through the sector, that employs sixty-thousand families in 2500 enterprises. The situation is worsened by the fact, that, compared to the pig sector, in the poultry sector the farmers and processors are operating in a much closer integration work, therefore the profitability problems of the companies may cause big troubles for feed manufacturers as well.   (by our colleague)
